Club in Luxembourg City

The Blacksmiths and the Black Lynx are the men’s and women’s teams of the Luxembourg Lacrosse Club. Both teams represent a strong, inclusive, and sustainable lacrosse community in Luxembourg City.

Training sessions are held twice a week. In addition to regular training, the teams participate in international leagues and tournaments in various countries, including Portugal, Germany, and Belgium.

The Blacksmiths were founded in 2017 as the first lacrosse club in Luxembourg, when a few friends, who had already gained lacrosse experience in other countries, decided to bring the sport to the country. With the idea of developing lacrosse in Luxembourg and creating a community of passionate sports enthusiasts, the foundation of the club was established.

The Black Lynx were founded in 2017 by six dedicated players who took the initiative to establish Luxembourg’s first women’s lacrosse team. The name refers to the lynx, whose Luxembourgish translation, “Luchs,” creates a wordplay with “Lux(embourg).” The color black symbolizes the unity of both teams within the club.

The Blacksmiths’ logo is inspired by Luxembourg’s steel industry and embodies strength, determination, and craftsmanship—values that define the team both on and off the field. Its bold typography and striking colors emphasize the team’s competitive spirit.

The Black Lynx logo follows the typography and color scheme of the Blacksmiths while also reflecting the unique values that the women’s team aims to represent in Luxembourg lacrosse.
